You can enable or disable voice note saving directly inside the app settings:
Steps to enable Voice Notes:
1. Open QuoteBuddy and tap on the Settings icon.
2. Under App's Preferences, toggle on "Save Audio to Journal".
💡 Privacy Note: Voice recordings are stored only on your local device and are never uploaded or synced to iCloud. Deleting a journal entry or uninstalling the app permanently removes its audio recording.
QuoteBuddy integrates directly with Apple Health to log your daily emotional well-being under Mental Wellbeing (State of Mind).
To enable Apple Health Sync:
1. Go to Settings in QuoteBuddy.
2. Turn on "Sync Mood To Apple Health".
3. When prompted by iOS, grant permission to write data to State of Mind under Mental Wellbeing.
How Daily Averages Work:
If you turn on "Include Daily Average Summary" in settings, QuoteBuddy will calculate your overall daily average mood and save it as the primary Daily Mood header in Apple Health alongside individual check-ins.
Your privacy is at the core of QuoteBuddy:
• Text Journaling & Mood Logs: Saved locally using CoreData and safely synced across your Apple devices via your private Apple iCloud account.
• Voice Recordings: Kept strictly on your local device for maximum privacy (never synced to CloudKit/iCloud).
• Biometric Lock: Protect your journal entries and mood history behind Face ID or Touch ID from the app settings.
